LFP "LEAD FREE" PRINTING PLASTISOLS
LFP's are designed for wet-on-wet multiprinting
on medium to dark colored
garments; have a soft consistency and work well on automatics. These inks are
Ortho-phthalate
free.
LFP inks are available in 30 standard colors. And we can make any one in
an Xtra-opaque (XO) or an Xtra-Opaque Low Bleed (XOLB) grade in a 15 gallon minimum order.
Special colors are also available in minimum quantities of 15 gallons.
LFP-103XO White is an extra opaque ink which is still extremely popular as a
maximum opacity white ink for printing on 100% cotton.
CURING:
Recommended cure temperature is 325 F. Slightly lower or higher temperatures can be used
if the time of cure is adjusted. Normal check for a cured ink is a simple "stretch
test." After stretching, the ink should not crack badly. Cure time can therefore vary
depending on the (1) type of oven and (2) room temperature and (3) thickness of deposit,
but is normally 2 minutes. Some ovens which have only infra-red elements do not cure
plastisol inks, especially white inks, as effectively as forced-air ovens. QCM inks
contain no solvents and will not dry in the screen.
SPECIAL NOTE: CAUTION! FLASH CURING WILL RESULT IN EXTRA HEAVY DEPOSITS OF
INK. ADJUSTMENTS FOR DRYER TEMPERATURE AND SPEED MAY BE REQUIRED TO INSURE ADEQUATE
CURING.
GARMENT MATERIAL: LFP inks work well on cotton and cotton/polyester blends. Some
blends may produce dye "bleed" with white inks. The garment should be tested
before use for dye-fastness.
CLEAN-UP: Odorless mineral spirits or MF-242 E-Z Clean.
